I've collected my second commendation in the photography contest associated with the free public festival that celebrates Brisbane’s architecture.
Brisbane Open House this year offered behind-the-scenes access to 100 buildings across the city - a record for the event - and I couldn't resist visiting a few of them with camera in hand. Well, on tripod for most part.
One of several images I created at 480 Queen Street, a 34-storey office building in the city's Golden Triangle, was well received by judges of the 2016 Brisbane Open House Photography Competition.
It focussed on an interior design element within the foyer and was highly commended in the Detail category. I was presented with a framed certificate last night at the Brisbane Open House Thank You Event at Treasury Casino & Hotel.
It follows similar success two years ago, in the Interior category, with a photograph made within AECOM North Tower HQ.
