This is just too cute not to post.
The work of wildlife carers, including my in-laws who live near Bundaberg in Queensland, in truly inspirational.
These orphaned joeys are certainly well cared for and aren't afraid to let you know when it's time for their bottle feed. Don't you just love the man-made pouches?
Joey kangaroos and wallabies usually end up in care after their mother has been hit and killed by a car (or shot) with them still in the pouch.
When they're of a certain size and weight, the joeys are soft-released into fenced enclosures before being fully released once they're ready to return to the wild.
What an amazing job the volunteer carers perform right across Australia!
